Innovation meets opportunity as Mount Kigali University (MKUR) prepares to host the AI & Robotics Hackathon Boot Camp from 29th to 31st July 2026, bringing together aspiring innovators, programmers, engineers and technology enthusiasts to develop practical solutions for Africa’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
The three-day boot camp will provide participants with an immersive learning experience, combining mentorship, collaboration and hands-on innovation in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. Working in teams of five members, participants will tackle real-world challenges while showcasing their creativity, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.
The competition will reward outstanding innovation with attractive cash prizes:
- 🥇 First Prize: RWF 500,000
- 🥈 Second Prize: RWF 300,000
- 🥉 Third Prize: RWF 200,000
Hosted at Mount Kigali University, the boot camp reflects the university’s commitment to advancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education while equipping young innovators with the skills needed to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Beyond the competition, participants will gain invaluable exposure to emerging technologies, collaborate with like-minded innovators and experience MKUR’s state-of-the-art learning environment, where technology, research and innovation are transforming education and preparing graduates to lead the future of work.
