The Department of Business and Economics, ranked among the top in the region, prepares students for careers in commerce, industry, and entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on innovation and value creation, especially among the youth. The Department of Education develops teachers as future leaders, contributing to national development by building a competitive and skilled teaching workforce that supports Rwanda’s vision of becoming an industrial, upper-middle-income nation by 2035.

The Department of Informatics and Computing provides cutting-edge training in ICT, Informatics, and Knowledge Management, supported by partnerships with global technology leaders such as IBM and Oracle, ensuring industry-relevant and internationally competitive education.

The Journalism and Communication programme reflects modern media transformation, training students to work confidently in digital and multimedia environments under the guidance of experienced media professionals.

Together, the School empowers students with the knowledge, technical skills, and leadership capacity needed for career growth while contributing meaningfully to Rwanda’s socio-economic development.

Diploma from a recognized university in a relevant field (e.g., Graphics, ICT, Media Studies, Web Design, Photography, Videography, Sound Engineering, Animations, Film Production, etc.).

 

For recent high school graduates (2024 and beyond): At least 50% marks in national examinations.

 

Must demonstrate English proficiency.

 

Applicants with S6 certificates obtained before 2024 are eligible under a 2-year transition/grace period.

 

Credit transfers available as per university policy.
