Associate Professor Fructuose Bigirimana is a distinguished legal scholar, academic leader, and practitioner currently serving as the Dean of the School of Law at Mount Kigali University. In this role, he provides strategic leadership for the university’s legal education programs, overseeing the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and postgraduate law initiatives while promoting practical, skills-oriented legal training,

Associate Professor Bigirimana’s academic and professional work is rooted in legal education, research, and institutional development. His areas of expertise include Public international law, international human rights law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law. He has championed experiential learning through moot courts, legal clinics, academic exchanges, and field-based legal education.

As Dean, he has been instrumental in advancing the School of Law’s vision of producing competent, ethical, and globally competitive legal professionals capable of addressing contemporary legal challenges in Rwanda, the East African region, and beyond

The Mount Kigali University School of Health Sciences offers modern, industry-focused programmes in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Dental Therapy, Dental Technology, General Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Midwifery, designed to equip students with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills for today’s integrated healthcare systems. Supported by the University Medical Centre, students gain hands-on clinical experience, and all admissions meet regulatory requirements. The School of Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Management is a regional center of excellence that is changing the way people think about hospitality and travel. Your degree will open up a network of industry links, give you training in Business Management and develop you into an innovative, professional leader for the hospitality and travel industry. Students will benefit from hands-on training at the University’s Kigali Paramount Hotel, addressing a critical skills gap in the hospitality sector. The hotel is the first of its kind in Rwanda and aims to elevate the country’s hospitality standards and extend expertise to the Great Lakes region and beyond.
