1. BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN GEOGRPHY EDUCATION: 2 Positions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters in Geography or Geography Education.

Key Responsibilities:

· Teaching the allocated workload per semester/session.

· Supervising student research activities and guiding teaching practice.

· Encouraging reflective learning and the development of competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.

· Promoting metacognitive strategies to enhance teaching and learning processes.

· Fostering connections between education and technology.

2. BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN HISTORY EDUCATION: 2 Positions

QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters in History or History Education.

Key Responsibilities:

· Teaching the allocated workload per semester/session.

· Supervising student research activities and guiding teaching practice..

· Promoting metacognitive strategies to refine teaching and learning approaches.

· Integrating technology with education and fostering innovation.

· Evaluating practical sessions, field trips, and teaching practice.

3. BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN ENGLISH EDUCATION (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D. in English, Literature in English, English Education, or Literature in English Education with a proven experience in the following: teaching at the university level with strong commitment to mentoring students, and experience in curriculum development and research generation,

1. LECTURER IN PUBLIC HEALTH (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· PhD in Public Health with a specialization in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, OR

· PhD in Public Health with a focus on Global Health.

Main Duties:

· Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public Health, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics.

· Conduct cutting-edge research in Public Health.

· Supervise student research projects and theses.

· Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.

2. ASSISTANT LECTURERS IN DENTAL THERAPY (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s degree in Dental Therapy.

Main Duties:

· Teach dental courses and oversee clinical practice.

· Supervise, mentor, and support students in their academic growth.

· Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.

· Engage in research activities related to Dental Therapy.

3. ASSISTANT LECTURER DENTAL TECHNOLOGY (1 Position)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Dental Technology.

Main Duties:

· Teach courses related to Dental Technology.

· Assess student learning, provide feedback, and mentor students.

· Contribute to curriculum development for Dental Technology programs.

1. LECTURER IN PUBLIC HEALTH (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

4. ASSISTANT LECTURES IN MEDICAL LABORATOY SCIENCES (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Microbiology, OR

· Master of Medical Laboratory Sciences in Histopathology.

Main Duties:

· Teach courses and oversee laboratory practices in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

· Supervise and mentor students in their practical and academic development.

· Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.

· Participate in research activities related to Medical Laboratory Sciences.

5. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIANS (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Main Duties:

· Assist teaching staff in carrying out laboratory practicals.

· Ensure proper standards and procedures are followed in laboratories.

· Prepare and review practical schedules and reports.

· Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) in laboratory settings.

· Ensure appropriate waste disposal and infection prevention in the laboratories.

6. DENTAL SKILLS LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (2 Positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Dental Therapy.

Main Duties:

· Assist in Dental Skills Laboratory training.

· Ensure acceptable standards are maintained in dental skills labs.

· Prepare schedules and practical reports for lab sessions.

· Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and proper waste disposal in the laboratories.

7. DENTAL TECHNOLOGIST (1 Position)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology.

Main Duties:

· Assist teaching staff in laboratory training sessions.

· Ensure proper standards are maintained in the laboratory.

· Prepare practical schedules and reports.

· Manage equipment and materials within the lab and ensure proper waste disposal.

The School is looking for the following personnel:

· Assistant Lecturer with a Master’s in Education, Leadership and Management with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

· Assistant Lecturer with a Master’s in Medical-Surgical Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree

Main Duties:

· Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in nursing courses at the undergraduate level, ensuring effective learning and adherence to curriculum standards.

· Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating nursing course content, instructional materials, and assessment methods in line with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

· Supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring they gain practical skills in line with professional standards and provide regular performance evaluations and feedback.

· Ensure that teaching, clinical supervision, and assessment practices comply with the National Council of Nurses and Midwifery standards and MKU policies

D). CENTRE FOR LANGUAGES AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
We are looking for a director with the following key responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Center.
• Oversee the development and expansion of language and professional courses.
• Manage the center’s budget and resources efficiently.
• Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote research and development in applied linguistics and professional studies.
Qualifications:
• Master’s or PhD in Applied Linguistics, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in higher education.
• Proven track record in program development, faculty development, and student success strategies.

E). THE DIRECTORATE OF RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND CONSULTANCY
We are looking for a director with the following key responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership for the Directorate and align activities with the university’s mission.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy.
• Manage innovation initiatives and expand consultancy services.
• Foster collaborations with academic, industry, and government stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Social Sciences).
• At least 5-7 years of leadership experience in research and innovation management.
• Strong expertise in grant management, collaboration building, and commercialization.

1. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

· Maintain employee records and HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

· Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures across departments.

· Monitor staff attendance and manage leave requests.

· Assist in staff welfare, training, development, and performance appraisals.

· Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

· At least 2-3 years of relevant HR experience.

· Good understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.

· Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office.

2. RECRUITMENT OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and execute recruitment campaigns targeting students, graduates, and young professionals.

· Build relationships with universities, student organizations, and career centers.

· Coordinate career fairs and recruitment events.

· Manage outreach on social media platforms and leverage digital marketing tools for recruitment.

· Screen candidates and assist in the interviewing process.

· Support the onboarding process for new hires.

Qualifications:

· Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields.

· Strong interest in marketing and recruitment.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Creative and digital-savvy mindset.

3. STORES & PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee procurement of goods, services, and materials.

· Build and maintain supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.

· Maintain inventory control and track requisitions from departments.

· Ensure compliance with procurement policies and report regularly on procurement activities.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.

· 2–3 years of experience in procurement or inventory management.

· Knowledge of procurement laws and best practices.

4. ICT CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as the first point of contact for ICT-related queries from students and staff.

· Provide timely support for LMS, email services, student information systems, and classroom technology.

· Maintain ICT equipment and support users in account setup and password management.

· Assist in system upgrades and ensure ICT security.

Qualifications:

· Strong understanding of English, French, and Kinyarwanda is highly recommended.

· Proven experience in customer support and ICT systems.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills and customer service orientation.
