The School of Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Management is a regional center of excellence that is changing the way people think about hospitality and travel. Your degree will open up a network of industry links, give you training in Business Management and develop you into an innovative, professional leader for the hospitality and travel industry. Students will benefit from hands-on training at the University’s Kigali Paramount Hotel, addressing a critical skills gap in the hospitality sector. The hotel is the first of its kind in Rwanda and aims to elevate the country’s hospitality standards and extend expertise to the Great Lakes region and beyond.

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management

Entry Requirements
Two principal passes in Arts or Science subjects (before 2024) with at least 13 points
OR Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Travel-related field
OR TVET graduates with relevant subjects
At least 50% overall average for S6 candidates after 2024
English proficiency required

Entry Requirements
Two principal passes in Arts or Science subjects with at least 13 points (before 2024)
OR at least 50% overall average (after 2024)
Qualifications must be recognized by Higher Education Council

Bachelor of Science in Events Management

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Two principal passes in Arts or Science-related subjects (for A2 certificates obtained before 2024)
  • Senior 6 Certificate with at least 50% overall average (for certificates from 2024 onwards)
  • Diploma holders from recognized institutions are eligible for admission
  • Applicants from accredited universities and colleges may apply for credit transfer
  • Other qualifications recognized by the Higher Education Council and Rwanda National Qualifications Framework are accepted
