Call for scholarship application for bachelor of science in mental health nursing programme, March 2025 Intake
Mount Kigali University (MKU) in collaboration with Ministry of Health in the framework of 4X4
Strategy is excited to announce a funded scholarship opportunity for the Bachelor of Science in
Mental Health Nursing Programme.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Certificate in Senior Six with two principal passes in Biology and Chemistry with grades
A,B,C and a subsidiary pass in either Mathematics, Physics, and/or Geography. - Advanced Diploma in Mental Health Nursing from a recognized Institution and 2 years
working experience (eligible to join programme at year 2, Semester 2).
Application Period: 27th Feb 2025 to 7th March 2025
Admission Test and Selection process:
- Candidates who meet minimum admission requirements as mentioned above will sit for an
admission test scheduled on 14th March 2025. - Final selection of the scholarship beneficiaries will be based on the admission test score.
Note: - Final selected students to benefit the scholarships will sign a contract agreement with MoH
to ensure their absorption into the health system after their graduation of which they will be
required to serve for a minimum period of time. - These scholarships target students who have graduated from senior six or its equivalent in
the school year 2022-2023 and years before. Those who graduated in the school year 2023-
2024 are NOT eligible to apply - Students currently receiving another scholarship funded by the Government or its partners,
or those who have graduated from other university-level programs, are not eligible to apply.
Any violation of these application requirements will result in immediate disqualification
upon discovery, with potential additional sanctions depending on the level of the violation.
