Strengthen Graduate Program Quality and Relevance
- Promote interdisciplinary and cross-cutting skills in graduate education.
Enhance Research Output and Impact
- Increase the number of high-quality peer-reviewed publications by faculty and graduate students.
- Establish internal research funding schemes and facilitate access to external grants.
- Promote applied research addressing national, regional, and global development challenges.
Expand Postgraduate Enrollment and Retention
- Develop targeted recruitment strategies to attract qualified local and international students.

Dr. James Githinji Muya, PhD
Dr. James Githinji Muya is a Lecturer of Mathematics and Director of Graduate Studies and Research at Mount Kigali University. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, India, an MSc in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor of Education (Science) from Kenyatta University.
With over six years of university teaching experience and nine years of secondary school teaching experience, Dr. Muya specialises in differential geometry, graph theory, differential equations, calculus, operations research and data analysis. His research interests include Finsler Spaces, Graph Theory, Differential Geometry and Mathematical Modelling. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, participated in international conferences and serves as a reviewer for the TWMS Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics.
